Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Kigali and Transfer to Akagera National Park –Boat cruise ‘’2hrs’’
On your first day, you will be picked up from your hotel by our expert safari driver guide after breakfast. Will brief you about this tour and then you will be transferred to the park. As you drive to Akagera National Park, will have a stopover for en-route and expect to enjoy beautiful countryside and even request photographic stopover.
Arrive at the park, check into your booked safari accommodation to enjoy hot lunch. Then, proceed for a sunset boat ride on Lake Ihema with a chance to see the aquatic mammals like hippos and crocodiles in the lake. After, return back to the lodge to dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive – Akagera National Park/ Back to Kigali
On this day, you will enjoy delicious breakfast and then embark on the full day game drive in the park with your packed lunch. During your game encounter expect to see the Big five mammals ‘’lion, rhino, elephant, buffalo and leopard’’ and other species to see are the antelope, Kob and baboon.
Akagera National Park is the only Rwanda’s wildlife safari destination that harbors numbery of wild animals and a truly birding paradise with more than 500 species of bird. Later in the afternoon, you will drive out of Akagera National Park and transfer back to Kigali, where you will be dropped at your hotel with evening at leisure.

Day 3: Pick up from Kigali and Transfer to Nyungwe National – Canopy walk adventure
Wake up on lazy morning enjoy your heavy breakfast at the hotel and then, you will be driven to Nyungwe National Park. The park is located in southwest, passes though the stunning terraced hillsides characterize much of Rwanda’s landscapes among others. On arrival at the park reception, you will be briefed from the park guides then continue with a short hike to the canopy walk adventure for a breathtaking experience on a suspended bridge covering 160 meter through the lush montane rainforest and 70meter high from the forest floor.
Canopy walk is one of the stunning activity that offers rewarding view of the ancient forest. You will walk back at the meeting point, meet your guide and drive to the hotel, check in and enjoy property amenities and spend the evening at leisure dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking /Depart to Kigali
After an early yummy breakfast at the lodge, followed by check out of the lodge and go meet your guide to drive you to briefing Centre about chimp trekking rules. After, you will be led to cyamudongo forest trail head by the park ranger in search for chimpanzee individuals.
As you trek into Nyungwe forest, you will enjoy their pant –hoots travel through the deep forest, listen to sweet melodies of birds as well as spotting various migratory bird species like grey-checked hornbill, Ross’ turaco, red-breasted sparrow hawk and regal sunbird among others. You will be dropped off at your hotel or Kigali International Airport.
