This 3 Day Kahuzi Biega National Park offers standard opportunity to visit Kahuzi Biega National Park. The park is one of the most biodiverse protected areas in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo ‘’DRC’’ and hosts the largest remaining population of the endemic and critically endangered Grauer’s gorilla,’’lowland gorillas’’ that differ from the famous mountain gorillas. These famous lowland gorillas can be encountered through participating in gorilla trekking experience.

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Depending on your point of location in Kigali, our safari driver representative will pick you up, brief you about the safari and set the journey to Kahuzi Biega National park. You will drive to southwards of Kigali city and proceed to Cyangugu boarder and on the way to Bukavu in the Democratic Republic of Congo. You will have a stopover in Butare where you will visit the national museum of Rwanda where you will watch tools in display that were used during farming, the royal regalia many other features. After an astonishing experience, you will have lunch and make your way to Kahuzi Biega National Park and upon arrival at the park, you will connect to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Kahuzi Biega National Park
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel with your packed lunch, you will head to the park for the impressive adventure to participate in gorilla trekking.
Note that, in Kahuzi Biega National Park is home to unique lowland gorillas which are quite distinctive from the mountain gorillas, which can be accessed through engaging in gorilla trekking.
You will be transferred to the reception for briefing session about gorilla trekking in the park and after, you will take part in the activity where you will get to understand their behaviors of the lowland gorilla, feed, play and survive in the forest. After a rewarding experience, trek back to meet up with your driver guide to connect you to your lodge/hotel for diner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Departure
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, followed by check out of the lodge and them meet up your driver –guide to transfer you back to Kigali City. On arriving in the Kigali city, you will connect into city tour where you will get to visit memorable sites like the Kigali genocide memorial museum, visit Kimironko market the largest market in Rwanda where you will buy souvenirs, organic fruits ,Rwanda traditional attires among other products.
During your Kigali city tour, you will get to visit one of the prime restaurant in the city to enjoy tasty Rwanda dishes. Call it the end of 3 Day Kahuzi Biega National park.
